My parents got me a veiled that is defensive and they expect me to hold it everyday to “bond” with it also I watch your videos everyday so I know what to do but they expect the chameleon to get used to me😕

I got a one year old female, and shes so spoilt lol, she acts like a literal baby, if something frightens her she runs at me, she hates me leaving her alone, and tonight, i went to check on her half hour after her tank lights went off for her bedtime and she refused to sleep so i was petting her, but every time i stopped and tried to shut the tank she gave me a fuckin death stare 😂 idk what I've done but my chameleon acts more like a baby than a chameleon i swear She also has phases like a kid, where one week she hates being in the tank and will literally bang on the glass, other days she's not fussed if u get her out or not and others she wont wanna come out at all 😂

I have the dual lighting dome 😅 and I use it for my snake and bearded dragon. I happen to have a spare one, and didn’t have money to get a single dome or a T5 fixture… I kinda was given my veiled chameleon last minute when I had just ran out of money. So I have another week to go until I can get the necessary stuff for my chameleon involving light fixtures. But I do have live plants for him and all the other necessities you mentioned

love ur videos!! do you recommend leaving basking light on for 10-12 hrs as well? I’ve seen many sites that say only 1-3 hours. Thank you!

I recently bought your Neptune the Chameleon Kit from Pangea. Today I was setting up the lighting. The bulb that came with my kit is a 50W. I do have a temp gun like you have in this video. My basking temps range in the 84-89 range. I have raised the heat lamp up 3” off of the top of the enclosure and the basking branch is 8” below the top. I keep adjusting the lamp trying to get the temps between 80-85F. With it being a 50W instead of 75W I didn’t think it would be as strong. Besides hanging the heat lamp from my ceiling (my enclosure is super elevated off the ground) I don’t know what to do. Is this a typical problem?

How do you change the uvb bulb

Soooo I'm switching to live plants for my chameleons enclosure and I reallllly don't want to spend $60+ on a terrasky or something more just for the plants if I don't have to. Will a generic led light strip for plant growing from amazon do the same job or will it be harmful/not helpful in any way? I guess my question is what other budget friendly options for plant lighting for a chameleon enclosure are out there?

hello, im a new keeper veiled chameleon for a week, im from greece and at summer we have 27-28C at house and if i turn on the heating lamp the terrarium temperature goes 31C , my question is , he realy need the heat lamp anyways? or i need to turned off?

My Panter did not like dubia roaches, But his favorite food is big grasshoppers aka Locusta sp.! He can take crickets, but the bigger Locusta sp. are his favorite food. I wish we had hornworms in Sweden but we dont.

Crickets have barbed legs and tougher shells. Only one species of crickets live in trees, do the Chameleons eat crickets in the wild? Just saying that they may not be good on the digestive tract for Chameleons.
